The Walk
The Walk Against Cancer will commence on Friday 26 September at Parliament House
Canberra.
The walk itinerary can be viewed below and in the attached Schedule.
Day 1, Friday 26 September 2008 – Parliament House, Canberra – Sutton, NSW
Distance: 22 kilometres. WALKED!
Function: The NAB Dickson Branch will host a charity BBQ at 12pm from
Dickson Shops. All proceeds will go to the Cancer Council via the walk.
BBQED!
Day 2, Saturday 27 September 2008 – Sutton, NSW – Collector, NSW
Distance: 37 kilometres. Go the Hawks in the AFL Grand Final. TIPPED!
Function: The Bushranger Hotel are putting on a big celebration starting at
6pm, see you there! WALKED!
Day 3, Sunday 28 September 2008 – Collector, NSW – Goulburn, NSW
Distance: 40 kilometres. WALKED!
Function: Goulburn Worker's Club are putting on a big raffle starting at 6pm.
We'd love to see Goulburn turn up to celebrate the Walk with us. RAFFLED!
Accommodation: The Trappers Motor Inn
Day 4, Monday 29 September 2008 – Goulburn, NSW – Marulan, NSW
Distance: 22 kilometres.
Fund-raising activities: From 9:30 - 11 am NAB Goulburn are hosting a
breakfast BBQ at the Rotunda in Belmore Park. Grab a bacon & egg roll and
then burn it off walking with us out of Goulburn! BBQED!
Day 5, Tuesday 30 September 2008, Marulan, NSW – Bundanoon, NSW
Distance: 35 kilometres. WALKED!
Function: Bandaging blisters at the Bundanoon Bowlo.
Accommodation: Bundanoon Hotel
Day 6, Wednesday 1 October 2008, Bundanoon, NSW – Bowral, NSW
Distance: 28 kilometres.
Functions: NAB Moss Vale 11:30am -12:30pm (balloons for the kids); NAB
Bowral 3pm - 4pm (more balloons); Bradman Oval 4:30pm (to do a few laps &
honour the great man). WALKED!
Accommodation: Hotel Bowral
Day 7, Thursday 2 October 2008, Bowral, NSW – Bargo, NSW
Distance: 30 kilometres. WALKED!
Functions: NAB Mittagong 9:30am - 10:30am (WAC "Street Talk", come and have
a chat with Geoff and Paul). Bargo Sports Club from 6pm (should be HUGE).
Day 8, Friday 3 October 2008, Bargo, NSW – Campbelltown, NSW
Distance: 41 kilometres. WALKED!
Function: A few quiet ones at Wests Leagues, Leumeah, in the front Bistro
Bar. Sydney's first chance to come down and party with the Walkers.
Day 9, Saturday 4 October 2008, Campbelltown, NSW – Liverpool, NSW
Distance: 28 kilometres. WALKED!
Function: NAB Liverpool (on the Plaza) from 2pm - 5pm (WAC "Street Talk" no. 2)
Day 10, Sunday 5 October 2008, Liverpool, NSW – the Olympic Stadium,
Homebush, NSW
Distance: 25 kilometres. WALKED!
Function: NRL Grand Final
